David Carvalho: “We found ancient regenerative agriculture practices to achieve a balance”
The CEO and founder of the Veracruz group believes that balance is essential in the agricultural model he intends. The farm is audited every year and has two certifications.
The Veracruz group has invested heavily in the Portuguese almond industry. David Carvalho, CEO and founder of the group, points out that they produce mainly for export, with 90% of the almonds destined for the international market, and that they will have a turnover of five million euros this year.
They stand out for their commitment to regeneration and sustainability. The challenge they are now facing is to present themselves with their own brand, and they are exploring markets to do so. “We have already been to Japan, Dubai, we have already been to Germany and we are going to England”, he says in 5 Minutos, to JE and on TSF.
